Alhambra unified (AUSD) SUPERINTENDENT
Founded by two remarkable high school students with a vision to help others, Therapicasso is quickly becoming a much needed beacon of hope, possibility, and creativity in our society. Their innovative approach and dedicated team are making a profound impact on the lives they touch. How fortunate we are to have Therapicasso in our community.
PUBLICITY CHAIR
Being a part of Therapicasso has been an enriching and fulfilling experience. From the brainstorming to the planning to the execution of the events, I’ve enjoyed every step of the process. I feel very grateful to be surrounded by a team that shares an affinity for mental health. Stigmatization surrounding mental health continues to be a barrier, but seeing the positive impacts of our workshop events and efforts on students shows that we are slowly changing. I am looking forward to breaking down that barrier.
VOLUNTEER
Taking part in Therapicasso events has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Assisting with some of the workshops, I’ve witnessed firsthand the positive feedback from the community and its incredible to see Therapicasso’s message & purpose be so well-received. Thanks to the team behind Therapicasso, the events have all been extremely fun, engaging, and thoughtful. But more than that, they’ve served as an accessible outlet to participate in mental health advocacy in a climate that is still learning to grasp its importance.
PROGRAMMING CHAIR
Throughout my time working with Therapicasso, I have had the privilege of witnessing participants come together as a single community in order to embrace the truths of mental health. It’s refreshing to see such openness in the face of these topics, as opposed to longstanding stigma that prevents these discussions from being had. Of course, it is heartwarming to take a part in Therapicasso’s impact, but the reward comes in the enthusiastic response from the community around us. The time, work, and effort poured into these events are absolutely worth it to make a progressive impact on the status of the publicity of mental health in our community. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I’m excited to see what the future holds for Therapicasso.
